CV Explosion 4 Hollister United 2
It was an on and off hot and cold for this early afternoon 1:30pm game against the currently rank number 2 team. The captains for this game were Kris & Ki. United won the toss and chose the side of the field. The game intensity was high from the start with action all over field. Although Megan was able to score first, it was called back on an offside call. Not long after that recalled score Alex was able to squeak one in to put United on the score card first. With a lot more back and forth the Explosion were able to get a goal in for themselves to tie the game up with one a piece. Right before the end of the half the Explosion found the goal again to allow then to go into the half one up on United.
With the second half of the game started just as fast as the first half. The Explosion were able to score two more times and as time was running out Alexandra was able to score on a prefect shot being passed from the back filled to put one more on the books for Hollister making the game total a 4-2. Hollister played their hearts out and played a good game. Kylie was able to block 16 other shots that were taken on her and she kept on ticking. United was able to make 12 shots on goal. The next day would prove just as fun.
Hollister United 2 SSJ Xtreme 2
The very next day in South San Jose Hollister United took on the SSJ Xtreme. This was a great game to watch as both side fought hard to control the ball. There was a lot of fast back and forth with the ball. This game would go down as a tie with two goals a piece. Alex was able to find the goal to keep United in the game.
Hollister’s next game will be at home against the Los Gatos United. The last time these two teams met a little over a year ago it was a 4-1 victory to Las Gatos.
