PST As reminiscent of last season, Hollister came out in the first half very slow with Morgan Hill dominating and placing constant pressure on the goal. Before the half was over, the Twisters were able to find the back of the net twice for 0-2 lead by half time. The coaches did their best to get the girls fired up and make corrections to the line up. That little pep talk must have fired them up because the girls came into the second half as sharks on the scent of blood. The tide changed with the Twister’s having to defend their goal from the constant pressure Hollister was able to deliver. Alex was able to find the back of the goal for score. And many of the girls were able to make shots on goal, keeping the pressure strong. Even though we only scored one goal, the United girls ran the Twisters into the ground and left them out of breath. Hollister United and the Morgan Hill Twisters are
scheduled to meet again for a regular spring season game. I’m sure the
coaches will use this scrimmage game as a learning tool so the next time
these two teams meet we can balance out the 1-2 record.
